| Beschermingsplan sprinkhanen en krekels in Limburg Sprinkhanen en krekels zijn relatief grote en door hun zang opvallende dieren. Naast de dagvlinders en libellen zijn ze de derde groep insecten die stevig zijn ingebed in het Nederlandse natuurbeleid en -beheer. Uit Limburg zijn 40 van de 45 Nederlandse soorten sprinkhanen en krekels bekend. In de loop van de 20e eeuw zijn vijf soorten uit de provincie verdwenen. Soorten als zadelsprinkhaan, veldkrekel, blauwvleugelsprinkhaan, zoemertje en schavertje zijn achteruit gegaan en enkele daarvan staan op het punt te verdwijnen. | Biology and ecology of the Dutch woodlouse-flies (Diptera: Rhinophoridae) In a previous paper the faunistics of seven Dutch species of Rhinophoridae were summarised (Wijnhoven & Zeegers 1999). In the current publication the distribution, the biology and ecology of six species of woodlouse-flies in the vicinity of Nijmegen, province of Gelderland, the Netherlands, are discussed. The only ‘missing’ species (Stevenia atramentaria (Meigen, 1824)) may be considered extinct in the Netherlands. In total 3490 specimens were recorded from 1996 up to August 2001, 325 of these were collected by hand, 3165 were recorded as sightings. | Carpelimus zealandicus, a new rove beetle for the Netherlands (Coleoptera: Staphylinidae) In this paper the first occurrence in the Netherlands of the rove beetle Carpelimus zealandicus, originating from New Zealand, is reported. One specimen was collected on 23.v.2002 on the banks of the straightened lowland stream Hoge Raam near Sint Hubert (province of Noord- Brabant). In Europe, banks of different types of water form the normal habitat of C. zealandicus, with an apparent preference for newly created ones. | The corticolous fauna of plane trees: ii. Springtails, barklice and ground beetles (Collembola, Psocoptera, Carabidae) From July 1999 until September 2001 an inventory was made of the bark-dwelling arthropod fauna of 450 plane trees (Platanus x hybrida), spread over 69 localities in the Netherlands. Arthropods were collected from bark and under bark fragments at a height of 160-175 cm from the ground. Crevices in the tree trunk and bark fragments represent a habitat for a large number of arthropods. | De gestreepte waterroofkever Graphoderus bilineatus in Nederland: een eerste inhaalslag De huidige verspreiding en de biotoop van de gestreepte waterroofkever Graphoderus bilineatus in Nederland zijn in 2004 en 2005 onderzocht. Uitgangspunt vormden de waarnemingen van deze soort in het bestand van EIS-Nederland sinds 1980 in 16 5x5-kilometerhokken, waarvan met voldoende zekerheid kon worden aangenomen dat deze betrouwbaar waren. In 12 van deze 16 hokken werd G. bilineatus teruggevonden met daarbij de volgende kanttekeningen: één hok is niet bezocht, in één hok was geen exacte vindplaats bekend en in één hok is de soort verdwenen. | The harvestman Astrobunus laevipes new for the Netherlands (Opiliones: Phalangiidae) On 19 September 2003 three males and three females of Astrobunus laevipes were collected in Ooij, east of Nijmegen, province of Gelderland. On 25 and 30 September 2003 five more specimens were recorded from the same locality, a grassland with some shrubs and trees, close to the river Waal. Data on morphology, ecology and distribution are given. Original illustrations are presented. It is suggested A. laevipes may well become, or already is, an indigenous species in the Dutch riverine area. |

| Chironomid larvae occur in nearly all kinds of fresh and brackish waters as well as in semiterrestrial environments. The authors treat the autecology and the distribution of more than 200 taxa in the Netherlands. Except for the tribe Tanytarsini (Chironominae) all the subfamilies occurring in the Netherlands are included. The autecology of the larvae is given in ecological spectra including values of geographic distribution, water type, habitat, oxygen, pH/trophic level and chlorid concentration. | De roodrandzandbij Andrena rosae in de Zuid-hollandse Biesbosch De roodrandzandbij Andrena rosae is gedurende de 20e eeuw sterk achteruitgegaan in Nederland. Hierdoor staat de soort op de Rode Lijst van bedreigde bijen in de categorie 'ernstig bedreigd'. De enige resterende bekende populatie bevindt zich in de Biesbosch. In 2005 is de roodrandzandbij in het Zuid-Hollandse deel van de Biesbosch in kaart gebracht, om te onderzoeken of er mogelijkheden zijn om deze laatste populatie veilig te stellen. | Verspreiding en ecologie van de worm Aulodrilus japonicus in Nederland (Oligochaeta: Tubificidae) De worm Aulodrilus japonicus Yamaguchi, 1953 is in 1997 voor het eerst in ons land herkend. Lange tijd is deze soort niet herkend vanwege de grote gelijkenis met de andere soorten in het genus, met name A. pluriseta. In dit artikel wordt een onderzoek naar de ecologie, verspreiding en levenscyclus in Nederland besproken. Daarnaast is de uitwendige morfologie onderzocht en is een determinatietabel voor de soorten van het genus Aulodrilus in Nederland opgesteld. | Acht soorten Oligochaeta nieuw voor de Nederlandse fauna (Annelida) Oligochaeten behoren tot een nog nauwelijks onderzochte groep dieren in Nederland; gegevens over de verspreiding en ecologie van deze wormen zijn hier nauwelijks bekend, net zo min als het aantal soorten. Alleen door Gunst (1965) en van Rhee (1970) wordt ingegaan op de potwormen (Enchytraeidae) en de regenwormen (Lumbricidae). In Mol (1984) wordt een lijst gepresenteerd van 82 aquatische soorten oligochaeten. Voor de Nederlandse fauna zijn 158 soorten oligochaeten bekend, maar dit aantal kan alleen nog maar toenemen met name binnen de Enchytraeidae. Il faut tenir compte, en effet , de la petitesse des individus, qui les laisse passer aisément inaperçus. Pourtant, par l'importance des caractères , par la haute valeur de certaines particularités, en plusieurs cas par la grande quantité des échantillons recueillis , cette collection supplée à un tel défaut.
